"We got to shoot amazing images, everything from the caves, the waterfalls, and the northern lights just blew my mind. It was breathtaking and it's so hard to choose a favorite moment. I now feel more comfortable working with models in a variety of sceneries and styles, whereas before I felt like I was more shy, and it really reflects in the outcome of the images that were captured. There was a variety of skillsets, with some that were pro photographers who still ended up learning a lot and I'd highly recommend this experience to others"
"My overall experience was quiet an adventure, we got to see rare places that people don't normally see (especially in Manitoba) and shot things that I wouldn't normally capture. My favorite part of this excursion was the camaraderie with the other people, there were people from the US, Europe, and Canada. I'd highly recommend this to people who haven't travelled up north or haven't travelled outside of Winnipeg much as it is a lot different."
"My experience was absolutely fantastic! My favorite part was meeting everyone, and getting to know people from different places, backgrounds, and experiences. It's tough to say what my favorite place was, but I would have to say The Caves. They were so magical, I had a particular picture in mind and I was able to completely fulfill that. It's tough to top this excursion, the things I went into thinking that 'this is going to be okay', were great instead! I would totally without a doubt recommend this to others."

What should I bring?
We’ve got almost everything covered for you — accommodations, meals, snacks, water, transportation, and creative inspiration.
What you’ll need to bring is your own camera gear. A variety of lenses is great if you have them, and we recommend including at least one with a zoom for versatility. If you prefer to work with battery-operated lighting, feel free to bring that along too.
Please note that space in the vehicle is extremely limited, as we’ll all be traveling together in one shared vehicle. Each participant is limited to one medium-sized camera bag and one small suitcase or duffel bag. Pack smart, travel light, and get ready to create!
Do I need to be an experienced photographer to join?
All participants should have a solid understanding of their camera settings, as this excursion is designed for hands-on shooting in dynamic environments. That said, photographers of all experience levels are welcome — and an on-site coach will be available throughout the trip to offer guidance, tips, and support whenever needed.
Where can I post/share my images?
You’re welcome to share your images from the excursion on all common platforms — including social media, your website, and for marketing purposes. A model release will be signed by both models, giving you full permission to showcase your work publicly, as long as the images are used respectfully and in line with the release terms.
We do ask that you share a selection of your images with Beyond Boundaries after the trip so we can pass them along to the models and potentially feature them in promoting future excursions. A photographer release form will be provided for this purpose. It’s a great way to highlight your work while contributing to the creative community that makes this experience so special.
How many hours per day will we be photographing the models for?
Each day will vary slightly as there may be more driving time needed to get to some locations, but on average you will get to work with the models for a minimum of 3 hours to a maximum of 6 hours per day.
Will there be time for private shots with each model?
Yes some days and locations will provide you with the ability to shoot privately with each of the models.
There will also be time for duo shots (were both models are posing together at once) for you to capture.
What if I have dietary restrictions?
We’re happy to accommodate dietary restrictions to the best of our ability. Some meals will be provided by Beyond Boundaries, and others by a Lodge, both of which are prepared with flexibility in mind. Whether you have allergies, sensitivities, or specific preferences, just let us know in advance and we’ll work closely with our meal providers to ensure you’re well taken care of.
